Demandware UX Studio™ is an integrated development environment (IDE) designed to maximize programmer productivity by providing tightly-knit components with a common user interface, based on the standards-based Eclipse framework.

Because Eclipse is a commonly used development environment supported by hundreds of plug-ins, you can get straight to work, utilizing a familiar environment rather than starting from scratch. We abstract the configuration necessary to piece together command line utilities in a cohesive unit, which reduces the time to learn a language and increases developer productivity.

Code Away

UX Studio provides many features for authoring, modifying, compiling, deploying and debugging the Demandware eCommerce Platform. It includes access to an extensive library of pre-built business processes in the reference store, and contains all the necessary tools to edit them.

Using a standards-based server-side scripting language, you can quickly create new logic to business processes, new custom objects, Web services calls, integrations to back-end systems and XML data processing. Because you are leveraging skills you already have, you will see improved productivity and efficiency, and can better focus your energy on moving your brand forward.

Get It Right Faster

Business processes within the UX Studio are graphically illustrated as pipelines and are edited via simple drag-and-drop, making it easy for Web developers to quickly integrate to other applications and modify the customer experience as necessary.

A complete debugger lets you track the execution of a pipeline step-by-step within Demandware UX Studio to help you identify errors. Using the Pipeline Debugger, you can easily check the storefront behavior of pipelines, track specific pipeline sections and monitor the status of the dictionary at each step using a special watch window.

Ideal Setting

We provide you with developer sandboxes, testing, staging and production environments all connected with development capabilities. UX Studio runs on the client portion of a client/server environment. Your locally developed application is uploaded automatically to the server, where it actually runs, allowing you to code over the Internet. Just plug UX Studio into your existing source code control system and let loose. It’s that easy.
