What a tremendous day this is for Demandware, our customers and our partners. Today Salesforce completed its acquisition of Demandware and we are officially part of the #1 CRM company and Customer Success Platform.

As we turn the page to this next chapter, I’d like to stress two things.

First, I could not be more excited about the opportunities that the combination of our companies makes possible. This is an absolute game changer.

Both Salesforce and Demandware were born in the cloud, and are passionate about customer success and enabling customers to run their businesses more effectively, with greater agility and without all the hassle of on­premise software. Global companies continue to embrace enterprise cloud solutions to not only run their businesses but also as the foundation for growth and innovation.

Our customers will be able to leverage Salesforce’s leading sales, service, marketing, communities, analytics, IoT, and platform solutions. They can now transform the way they interact with their customers in new, more personalized and smarter ways.

And by adding commerce to its platform, Salesforce extends its CRM leadership and accelerates our mission to transform commerce and further solidify our position as the leading digital commerce platform for premier retail brands.

Second, I want to acknowledge the hard work of Demandware employees all over the world. Their innovative thinking, collaborative spirit and unwavering commitment to customer success have brought Demandware from our roots in 2004 to today’s milestone.

From our first client (Zabar’s, an 82­-year old New York­ based gourmet grocer) to some of the world’s leading retailers and brands (Carter’s, Lands’ End, L’Oreal and Marks & Spencer to name just a few) our employees are behind it all. So thank you.
