We are now less than one week away from Salesforce XChange, and the finishing touches are being put into place for what promises to be an extraordinary event for the entire Salesforce Ohana – but in particular our retail trailblazers.
This is our first XChange as part of the Salesforce Ohana, and we know that everyone is eager to hear how Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) fits into the broader Salesforce strategy, which encompasses marketing, communities, service and more. In fact, that’s just what I’ll be talking about in my keynote address on May 17th.
It’s no secret that we’re living in the age of the customer, where technology has empowered consumers to dictate the terms of engagement not only with retailers, but with any brand (restaurants, healthcare, utilities, etc.) with which they engage. Because of this, brands of all stripes need to connect with their customers in a fundamentally different way – one that gives the brand a complete, end-to-end real-time picture of their customer.
I’ll share how the Salesforce Intelligent Customer Success Platform does just that. Why is this important? Well, because the transaction part of commerce is just that – it’s one part. Customer engagement today encompasses awareness, marketing, store technology, email and messaging, communities, fulfillment, service and advocacy. Oh and by the way, all of this should have Artificial Intelligence at its core to make all of these touchpoints personalized and relevant to the customer.
This is challenging stuff, but who better to tie it all together than the company with the world’s number one CRM which – don’t forget – is all about managing the customer relationship.
Commerce Cloud executives will share details of our product roadmap including exciting enhancements to Salesforce Einstein, and game-changing capabilities in mobile commerce. But these things can’t function in isolation. Like individual ingredients in a recipe, they must come together with other elements to form a more complete, and completely satisfying, meal.
I’ll be joined by other Salesforce executives including Alex Dayon, president and chief product officer, who will talk about the broader Salesforce vision and how all the pieces come together. We’ll also be joined by some of our amazing retail trailblazers including Bethany Kemp from Design Within Reach, Chris Ladd of New Balance, Beth McCormick of PetSmart, and James Rhee of Ashley Stewart.
