Accelerating Omni-Channel Experiences with Cloud OMS

Consumers today expect an effortless experience no matter where or how they shop. They want products when they want them­­­­, whether in the store or at their door. Unfortunately, retailers struggle to meet – much less exceed – consumer expectations because it is truly difficult to manage the underlying complexity of the “buy anywhere, fulfill anywhere” experience.

Today, I am pleased to announce our acquisition of Mainstreet Commerce, a leading provider of cloud-based order management solutions. With this acquisition, Demandware will help retailers reduce complexity and accelerate delivery of the experiences that consumers expect.

First, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to founders Mike Sandler, Nick Laurie and their highly skilled team. The combination of Demandware Commerce and Mainstreet Commerce’s distributed order management solution extends Demandware’s omni-channel capabilities and provides retailers with a cloud solution that enables them to deliver a seamless “buy anywhere, fulfill anywhere” consumer shopping experience.

Mainstreet BusinessFlow is a comprehensive order management solution with flexible configuration capabilities that support the complex business needs of leading brands and retailers. It includes full lifecycle support across all channels and devices, from sales origination through automated payment processing, order processing, shipping management, drop-shipping and fulfillment.

Like Demandware Commerce, Mainstreet BusinessFlow is built and delivered via a cloud-based architecture, is highly scalable and can be easily adapted to meet complex customer needs without limiting the ability to upgrade. Demandware and Mainstreet Commerce share approximately 20 common customers, including clothing and accessory retailers vineyard vines and Life is Good, as well as footwear companies Brooks Sports and ECCO USA.

This acquisition supports our goal to help retailers increase revenue and improve bottom line results by:
